# Karakuru

Karakuru is a visual collaboration canvas for humans and multiple AI systems. Notes, directed arrows, positions, colors, containers, references, and Markdown folders form shared working context. It can collect information, organize it semantically, ask AI models to synthesize it, and let Claude or Codex continue the work through Karakuru MCP.

## What it can do

- Create, edit, arrange, connect, color, group, and containerize notes.
- Store browser-only canvases or connect Union and Cluster canvases to Markdown folders.
- Call multiple AI providers and pass only the relevant upstream graph as structured context.
- Search live canvas notes semantically with TypeSafe AI Jev.
- With experimental X search enabled and credentials configured, search by query, language, period, and result count, then import posts as notes.
- Let Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or Codex read and modify Karakuru through MCP.
- Export embedded PNG, JSON, ZIP, or a complete folder.
- Undo each MCP browser operation with Ctrl+Z; batches are one undo step.

Browser-only MCP needs no data-folder path. Folder tools and live-browser tools have different scopes. In-app AI generation replaces connected ordinary output notes; without outputs it creates new notes. Some API errors also replace output text. ## Start here

The current canvas may contain the user's existing work instead of tutorial notes. Product documentation is independent of browser storage and is available at the routes below even if tutorial notes have been removed. The startup MCP memo is optional; use the setup guide and package URL when it is absent.

The startup canvas contains a stable memo `guide_mcp`, normally displayed as A6, titled “5. Claude／Codexから操作する”. Its download button contains the setup ZIP. Display IDs may change; prefer the stable ID or title.

When assisting a user, explain relevant capabilities first. Do not install software, change configuration, send note contents to an external API, or modify files beyond the user's request without the required confirmation.
